Byron Bay AttractionsFamous for alternative living, and eco-tourism. This is Australia's most easterly point and premier spot for surfing as well as one of Australia's most popular whale watching locations. I can vouch for that as I have been here and done that with and without my family many times. The best viewing is right at the lighthouse. The most common whales passing here are the Humpbacks as they migrate between May and June to warmer waters to breed. They return around September to October usually with their calves close by. below is a photo of the famous byron lighthouse and the blue pacific ocean Byron Bay has over 100 restaurants, cafes, hotels and specialty shops, to keep all those visitors occupied and satisfied.
