Centennial Park

Discovering Sydney's Own Backyard



Centennial Park can be found sprawling over more than 190 hectares of undulating urban landscape. Probably Australia’s most historic park and certainly the peoples favourite. A great place to visit for a day out!

This piece of natural parkland is only minutes from the centre of Sydney is wonderful place that draws all sorts of appreciative crowds.

Look Around The Park Its very rarely crowded because of the extended area that it enjoys although many people use these grounds on a daily basis.

Everyone from regular cyclists and keep fit walkers and joggers to horse riders, picnickers and those who just desire some peace and serenity come here to enjoy what this place has to offer.

If you just want to spend some time with family there are picnic areas with barbecues for that midday lunch or summer dinner. The kids will love the ponds and native birds plus all the room to run around.

The Equestrian Center provides unique experiences supplying lessons, rides, stabling and agistment to many locals and visitors. Horse riding is just one of the many activities to be had inside the park. To find out more click here

Walks

If you prefer wander around there is no shortage of walking tracks. There is even a guided walking tour of Sydney’s historic underground drinking water supply, aptly named Busby’s Bore after the engineer John Busby who drove the bore to carry water from a nearby swamp to Hyde Park as part of Sydney’s water supply. You could also try the Lachlan Swamp walk, it'll take about 45mins
