Passengers have the freedom to enjoy their own day trip itineraries by either purchasing tickets for part of the journey or the whole return trip. Exploring Summit Tank, Robertson and Mossvale
Taking tis Journey is like venturing into unexplored territory with new and exciting things around every bend. The lookout at Summit Tank beckons a second inspection as you realize you could be just about anywhere on the planet.
If you’re wanting to have lunch at Robertson it’s always best to pre book with either the Robertson Hotel or the Bowling Club. It is an experience but so too is the full trip to the end of the line at Mossvale where you can enjoy a walk around this historical town and something to eat at any of the small cafes, shops or restaurants. In recent times with the opening of the new Illawarra Tree Top Fly Walk at Knight’s Hill near Robertson, many adventurous people have taken the opportunity to enjoy both the train ride and a visit to the Fly on their day trip. But remember that doing that means you miss the rest of the ride to Mossy where you can encounter some highland history around the town while waiting for the departure time. Totally up to you.
