A World Favorite!

Manly beach Australia is just a short drive from the heart of Sydney. Like Cronulla another popular seaside village on the southern extremities of the city’s limits, it is surrounded on three sides by ocean, making it a natural playground for water enthusiasts.

Linked to the harbour by a 200mtr strip called The Corso it has become one of Sydney’s most popular destinations and a hive of activity 365days a year. Within a short distance you can find some of the country's most famous attractions along with Aboriginal sites and some historic landmarks.manly beach australia

Things to See and Do

Manly beach Australia rocks! With numerous attractions and activities there’s always something going on, be it volleyball tournaments, surfing competitions or some annual festival. The October long weekend every year sees thousands of music fans converge to enjoy Australia’s largest Jazz festival. Visitors can take their pick of the free program that features dozens of performances with quite a few outdoor stages being set up. I Gotta say thanks to the council for such a great event every year. There a blast!

Other events not to be missed are the Manly Food and Wine Festival usually held the first weekend in June, the Surf Life Saving Carnival held in January each year and the start of the Sydney to Hobart yacht race on December 26th. Taking a swim with sharks at Oceanworld is quite popular as is walking North head or hiring a bike to ride around town. Oh and don’t forget to do the sculpture walk along Marine Parade.
