Milk Beach Vaucluse

A Hidden Gem, One of the Sydney Secret Beaches

Milk beach Vaucluse is at the end of the track behind Strickland House on Vaucluse Road. Sometimes it gets populated (middle of summer) but for most of the time you can go there and there will hardly be anyone around. Not Bad! Considering it’s in the middle of Sydney.

Visiting is fun for everyone. The romantics can go and sunbathe, have a swim and just hang out or perhaps enjoy a meal at the nearby Neilson Park cafe or restaurant. Families heading down here can let the kids frolic and explore the rocky shoreline and outcrops.

swimming at harbour beaches is always enjoyable

Commanding views looking back to the city has most people wondering why they hadn’t thought to to come here many times before. Be careful! this beach faces into the western afternoon sun. It's easy to enjoy your time here but please remember to slip, slop, slap and prevent sunburn.

The Hermitage Walk is an easy lev el trail around the headland that will also fill some time and give you a different perspective as you follow the shoreline past Steel Point to Shark Bay, another hidden gem on the harbour foreshore.

You might even like to enjoy some time having a meal or a cool drink in Neilson Park taking in the views under the shade of the tall gum trees.

Go and visit Vaucluse House in Vaucluse Park while you’re there. Click here to view a map of the area.

Looking For some other beaches around Sydney? there's no shortage of them! inside the harbour, around the bays and along the rivers.

Thanks for visiting, have a great day and don't forget to get out there and...
