Museum of Contemporary Art Sydney is a place I always end up visiting when I’m in Sydney. I don’t know how many times I been wandering around here with friends or visitors from abroad and we almost always end up stepping inside and taking a look around. Maybe it could be because I love to admire people’s creative works, hmmm?

Access a world of artful resources, It’s extremely easy to do right here with a constantly changing line of exhibitions. If you like to indulge yourself viewing what’s on offer at your own pace go for it, there’s always plenty of fresh exhibits and no shortage of talented works on display. Alternatively, for a small fee you can join one of the MCA staff for a guided tour followed by coffee and cakes in the café which will still fill your day well and give you the experience of being a cultured visitor while in and around Sydney. If you would like to enjoy a coffee with friends or maybe lunch try the mca cafe, it has spectacular views of Circular Quay, is recommended by the Sydney Cheap Eats guide and is an ideal extension of any visit.
The Museum contains art and film journals, reference books, rare books, monographs and audio recordings amongst other educational works. They have a bunch of downloadable resource material available for those wanting to research for personal or study purposes.
Exhibitions by local and international artists are constantly changing and the MCA has announced plans to make this museum a global hub for contemporary art and ideas by 2011. That’s good news for Sydney. All this will contribute to it becoming one of the top notch places to visit and as one of Sydney’s best attractions in the years to come.
