New South Wales Getaways

A Diversity of Vacation Getaways

New South Wales Getaways in the Premier State. Why Premier State? Because not only is it the first Australian state, it’s the state that has more to see, do and enjoy than almost the rest of Australia put together.

There are many things to see, do and enjoy in this great state, far too many to mention right here on a single page but here's a few of the better ones I'll mention anyway.

Map Of NSW

If you are visiting here from some far, far away land and you were planning to have your own New South Wales Getaways you would need a map of New South Wales right? Well right below I have included a map that highlights major towns up and down the coast as well as those inland on the New England and further afield to Central and West New South Wales. Use it to plan your next dream getaway.

Things To Do and See in NSW

There are Plenty of Hotels in New South Wales with comfortable and affordable accommodation. Some of the country Pubs have more character about them than the characters that frequent them. Affectionately know as “local watering holes,” Australians love to visit their local pubs and clubs for a beer and a good old chin wag at the bar after a hard days work. In country towns like Bathurst Parkes and Dubbo you will find pubs a hive of activity in the late afternoons as the workers share their stories of the days activity. There's many fine establishments around New South Wales to ease away some time having a drink and a chat while meeting new friends on your New South Wales Getaways.

New South Wales has a lot of room for travel and exploration right? Ha! Imagine the space you can have to yourself when you travel to other states like Western Australia, Queensland or the Northern Territory, they are almost empty by comparison. Yet, while NSW covers a vast area, most places can be reached within a days journey from Sydney so get to it!

We want to help you find many different and interesting things, like visiting caves, places to go camping, where to take beach treks, or cruises and tours. Find some great accommodation such as hotels, motels and homestays, even car rentals if that’s what you need. Whether you’re coming or going we hope you will find something here that makes your next holiday or getaway just that bit more memorable.

Visit Sydney

If you are visiting Sydney on your New South Wales getaways you will find many exceptional things like walking trails and tours, some museums and harbour cruises along with various types of the best attractions, events and entertainment as well as all those restaurants full of luscious food and shops, shops and more shops that everyone likes to visit. You can take a jet boat ride, visit The Rocks or climb the Harbour Bridge. And of course don’t forget to have that photo taken of yourself in front of the Sydney Opera House.

An ideal way to see Sydney is by water, and why not? After all there's plenty to see and Sydney is probably the most beautiful harbour city in the world.

Traveling around the harbour city by water is one of the best ways to view the city and its suburbs. Try the Sydney Explorer Hop-on Hop-off Harbour Cruise, it allows you to jump on and off at any number of stops, including Darling Harbour, Circular Quay, Taronga Zoo, Watsons Bay and Luna Park. It’s easy! disembark at any destination you choose, go do a bit of looking around, stay as long as you like and later simply board another boat to reach your next sightseeing destination. Here's a tip! ...start early to get the most out of all those stops ok? Looking for something a little different? What about music? Jazz, blues? There are cruises available that cater to the individuals as well as the multi corporates, serving up live entertainment and mouth watering banquets such as seafood and carvery buffets.

Visit The Blue Mountains

The Blue Mountains is a special place to visit on your next New South Wales getaways. From a distance the blue hue reflects the abundance of eucalypt oils from the native gum trees throughout the region. A day trip to Katoomba to ride the sceninc skyway is not for the faint hearted. Viewing the majestic three sisters is a must. Visit Echo Point and hear your voice echo for miles or maybe wander around in the beautiful gardens of the quaint village of Leura.

Situated as part of the Great Dividing Range, this is where the country gets separated from the city. A truly magnificent place to getaway to. The people out this way are friendly and love to chat. In the country time seems to go slower and people are more important. Small rural towns that pop up on the side of the highway are places where you can fill up with gas, purchase some fruit and veges or grab some classic Australian history or food.

In the future we will endeavour to list major regions associated with New South Wales Getaways so you can find just what your loooking for.
