Royal Botanic Gardens is Located in Mrs Macquarie’s Rd between Circular Quay & Woolloomooloo – Admission Free Only meters from the Opera House, the Royal Botanic Gardens runs right to the harbour’s edge. Many people come to wander around here and enjoy the beauty and serenity of this waterside park. Of course the gardens stretch way back to the south parallel to the city as well, and thus becomes what is known as "The Domain" after spanning past the Cahill Expressway/Eastern Distributor .

Summer time is a wonderful time of the year to be in any park or garden. Spring has already sprung and all the new blossoms bring forth fresh variations full of color and scents. Being amongst nature is one of the best ways to spend time on any given day. The Royal Botanic Gardens house the Pyramid Glasshouse as well as the National Herbarium of NSW. This wonderful 30acre spread has some very nice grassed areas for picnicking on and some of the best harbour and city views in Sydney.

You can arrive at the Royal Botanic Gardens easily by car, ferry, train or bus, all you need is a bit of time on your side to explore discover enjoy!Be sure to take the walk to Mrs Macquarie’s Chair and savor the time there. Check the bats hanging around in the park also, you’ll be surprised to see so many of these things so visible in the daytime. This park is my personal favorite. I love to visit here with my wife when we spend a day in the city.
