What's available?

At The Sydney Powerhouse Museum you can see various art forms in the process of development from beginning to fruition and play a part in the design and testing of them. This involvement can sometimes produce extraordinary results which the public becomes a part of.

There are also educational programs running on a regular basis helping develop students learning skills and interest across a broard matter of subjects. I was never really good with science but I do enjoy knowing how things work now that I’m somewhat older and ...shall we say... wiser, hmmm?

One of these workshops specifically designed for 3-6yr olds is based on the variants of the museums exhibitions such as, space, astronomy and the environment. There is a fee for this workshop but it’s all about children learning and interacting yeah?

There's over 300,000 objects in this place? I'm sure they can't all be seen in the same day...

Thinkspace for adults

This is a workshop for developing creative skills in digital narration, (words, photos, video) along with other useful skills like using web tools, photoshop along with other technologies. There are also workshops for students with links to learning languages, history and science. To learn more or visit the website click here.

Another place for such creative initiatives is not inside but outside at the Bondi Markets, while not exactly that of a scientific kind it certainly is a melting pot for some of Sydney’s up and coming artists and designers.

Take an interest in what comes from this land and get out there and enjoy.
