Windang NSW on the south coast is less than 1.5hours drive from Sydney and is a popular seaside village for any weekend getaway, day trip or family vacation. Nestled between the Pacific Ocean and the scenic Lake Illawarra on a flat low lying peninsular south of Port Kembla and Primbee many people flock here to enjoy rest and relaxation during the NSW school holidays.
A little bit of country in the city some describe it as with Shellharbour City 10minutes drive south and Wollongong CBD 20minutes to the north. Both cities offer much in the way of entertainment and attractions. If you’ve ever eaten prawns then you’ve probably tried some from the lake here as Lake Illawarra prawns are a regular feature in many seafood shops. But what people really love here is the serene, relaxed atmosphere of this charming seaside village.
